Getaway FORE some golf.

I've heard that it never rains on the golf course. With temperatures in the 90’s, does it ever get hot on the golf course? According to most golf addicts that I know (and love), apparently not. It may be golf season in the Northeast but it's OFF-SEASON at most of the golf resorts here in South Florida, yet we’re still seeing the usual influx of golfers who have chosen to live the good life and take a swing at some of the countries top courses.

If you hadn't heart - Golfweek magazine voted the PGA National Resort and Spa as "America's Best Resort Courses." The home of the “Honda Classic," PGA National boasts five championship courses and is a mecca for golfers worldwide. Plus it's goa a Spa extraordinaire for those like me who would prefer to be pampered than drive around in one of those silly carts.

With regular prices starting at $149 per night, the resort has announced a great budget getaway with family specials starting at only $99 per night midweek through September. This offer includes UNLIMITED GOLF, a lesson at the famous David Leadbetter Academy of Golf and FREE range balls to practice before you get out there and play , breakfast for two daily (a $40 value), children 12 and under get free breakfast and can join the activities at the Kid’s Club ($45 value) and two-for-one drinks at the iBar, plus kids golf free after 2pm.

With a round of golf priced at $135, this is an exceptional value.

Blackout Dates: June 27-30; July 23-31; Aug. 1, 14-15
Note: There is a daily $20 resort fee.
