Seagate has my #GoFlexMemories

"A kiss on the hand
May be quite continental,
But diamonds are a girl's best friend.

A kiss may be grand
But it won't pay the rental
On your humble flat
Or help you at the automat.

Men grow cold
As girls grow old,
And we all lose our charms in the end."

That may have been true for Ms. Monroe, but for those of us who work online, diamonds may be our second best friend.. WHAT? The diva of Champagne Living is dissing DIAMONDS?

I live my life online. Whether it be here at the mansion or on The Review Broads, you'll find me posting daily (sometimes more) and when I'm not posting, I'm writing for other sites and magazines. Twitter, Facebook and whrrl all take a piece of my day. Photos, videos, music and documents have long been stored online (although I do admit that I still prefer to buy my music in CD format and my movies on DVD).

Two years ago DISASTER HIT. No it wasn't hurricane Wilma (although she certainly did some damage here). It was a CRASH. My faithful laptop bit the dust and along with it went years and years of  photographs and memories. I had NEVER backed anything up. WHY? Because I was one of those who thought "it can't happen to me."

Today I'm a lot smarter. My main computer is continually connected to a drive that backs up every stroke of the keyboard, but as you know...I travel. A LOT. When I travel, I bring a small netbook, and I'VE NEVER BACKED IT UP. It's full of my photos from travel and it would be a travesty if I lost them.

This week I'll be heading to BlogWorld Expo. I'm being sponsored by Seagate, and I'll be working with them, promoting their great new line of GoFlex drives (come over and check in at the Blog Talk Radio booth to win a new GoFlex drive). I was able to pick up one of these CUTE new drives this week at the Seagate store on Walmart.com. It was inexpensive (under $90), big enough to store everything I have and MORE (500GB), and is EASY to use.

You see, I am NOT A TECHIE. If it goes beyond plugging in a usb drive - I'm out of the game. I won't bore you with all of the tech talk, because frankly I don't understand it. All I know is that I plugged it in and it immediately began working. There's nothing to upload, no discs to put into your computer, nothing but the drive and the connection to your computer. It really is that simple.

Once plugged in, it prompted me through the registration and backing up process. I barely had time to freshen my nail polish while it did it's job. This little hard drive fits perfectly into ANY of my handbags and it comes in an amazing array of colors.

Look at what my new GoFlex can do:
  • Capacity: 500GB
  • Store up to 63 HD movies, 222 standard movies, 125,000 songs, and 250,000 photos
  • Interface: USB 2.0
  • Plug and play
  • Compact, portable design
I may still love diamonds, but to tell you the truth....I love my Seagate GoFlex just as much.  Besides it matches my

NOTE: This shop was a result of a shopping trip that was sponsored by #CollectiveBias for Seagate GoFlex hard drives. #GoFlexMemories
