Caribbean Cruising.....

The last time that Mr. S. and I cruised the Eastern Caribbean it was on the Caribbean Princess. Unfortunately Mr. S. had a little "accident" and slept his way through the islands. I'm still trying to figure out HOW he took his ambien in the morning instead of at night. He had SO wanted to do the America's Cup Challenge in St. Maartin as we're long time sailors and thought it would be fun to crew aboard a 12 metre. Needless to say, he didn't wake up until the ship left port and the next day in St. Thomas he was still not quite feeling himself.

Because of this I'm always on the lookout for great deals to the Eastern Caribbean. My friends at CruiseDeals.com are offering an UNBEATABLE deal on a BRAND NEW SHIP. The NCL Epic leaves from Miami and visits St. Thomas, St. Maartin and Nassau. Generally when a new ship launches the prices are SKY HIGH, which is why I'm amazed that CruiseDeals.com has an exclusive advertised rate of only

$599 per person (interior)   or   $899 (balcony)

WITH an onboard credit of $100!

I checked  this morning and the rate is still available (even though it says through 3/30)

By the way - I love St. Maartin, they have a great Longchamp store right around the corner from a hole in the wall French Bakery - you can SMELL the freshly baked bread floating out into the courtyard (you can forget the diet - you're on a cruise). I find the prices to be quite a bit lower than they are in the states, so it's a fun shopping excursion.  I also have family who used to have a condo on the French side at La Samanna and it's nothing short of spectacular (if you have a chance to stay there it's a real treat), so St. Maartin really is one of my favorite islands.

If you're looking for an inexpensive off-season getaway. Check out CruiseDeals.com for this as well as other GREAT deals.

Bon Voyage!
