There's NOTHING like setting the mood. Yes, Valentine's Day is just around the corner and maybe you've planned a romantic candlelight dinner for the two of you. SINGLE? Soaking in the tub with the room filled with lit candles and a bottle of champagne is a great way to celebrate (oh, you DON'T have to be single for this one). I love putting candles across the table and all over my home when I entertain, but there's always this small fear that someone (probably MOI) will knock one over and start a 3-alarm fire. I've been known to "overdo it" with the mass amounts of candles arranged just so that they don't LOOK arranged.

I'd been reading a LOT about these electric candles in all of the home magazines and for some reason, I pictured plastic candles with a Christmas bulb plunked into the middle of each one, so when I was toying with the opportunity to review Enjoy Lighting's line of flameless candles...let's just say that I didn't have my hopes up.

But, you DO know I actually love it when a company can prove me wrong. My three pillar candles from Enjoy Lighting arrived and my first impression....They forgot to send me my flameless candles, because these are real Vanilla scented wax candles. WAIT!!! Stop the presses - there IS a bulb in the center of each - actually THREE teeny, tiny little LED bulbs.

Now to search the garage for batteries. After installing the batteries, I look carefully at the bottom of each candle. There is an on - off - timer button and one that you can program for 4 hrs - 6 hrs - 8 hrs (8 hours? Yikes, that's a LONG night of setting the mood...just sayin...).

I keep a platter of candles along with a partial shell that I picked up in the ocean in Cancun and some flowers in a small bottle (was that too much information for you?) on my dining room table. Everything is white (because my table is black & white granite with black wood). I flipped the switch on each of the candles that I received and OMG!!! The three little bulbs are programmed by a computer chip and they GLOW and FLICKER just like the real thing. I looked at these flameless candles from ALL vantage points - sitting down, across the room, even staring down into the bulbs and THEY LOOK JUST LIKE THE REAL THING! Best of all, the wax is scented (mine are Vanilla - YUM).

The fact that I can purchase Enjoy Lighting flameless candles at my local Target, Michael's, and other locations nationwide (even Amazon.com carries them), is MAJOR (because candles are one of those items that I tend to grab last minute and DON'T want to have to search for).
