I happen to love trying new skin care and make-up products. There are a lot of people who find a brand and stick with it FOREVER. My vanity is a plethora of creams, lotions, scrubs and washes. Of course among them you'll find my favorites (we all have products that are like an old pair of jeans - comfy and hard to give up).
I was recently sent a two product skin care regime by Mereadesso Woman. I was a little taken aback and actually contacted the CEO and creator of the product, because I just couldn't wrap my head around only using TWO products as my TOTAL SKIN CARE REGIME. It just didn't feel natural. I'm used to cleansing, toning, using a serum and a day cream or night cream as well as a day and another night time eye cream (it's amazing that I can actually find my toothbrush among the products).
The Face & Neck Cleanser is a very light formula that can be
used on ALL types of skin. It felt extremely light to the touch and can be used to remove even EYE makeup. Included with the cleanser was a micro-fiber cloth to aid in cleansing. I found the cloth a bit too small and as a result it was awkward using it. You use the same formula both for morning and evening cleansing.The cleanser performed well, although it did not remove my mascara - so I really needed to use a product along with it to remove my eye makeup each night. I use a fiber mascara, and it doesn't come off easily (that's the WHOLE point of using the fibers) with a lite cleanser. Other than that, it left my skin feeling silky. The cleanser also contains the equivalent of a toner, eliminating the need for that step.
The Face and Neck Toning Gel was extremely light and is aloe based, so it's very healing to
the skin. I found it interested that it's to be used on both oily and dry skin. My skin is VERY dry and although I liked the fact that it was quickly absorbed, I need more anti-aging properties.The odd thing about the Face and Neck Toning Gel was the fact that it both moisturizes as well as exfoliates (see....tough to wrap your head around isn't it). My "usual" moisturizer contains sunscreen and this product does not, so you still need to apply sunscreen before putting on your makeup.
I like the IDEA of using a two step system, but I'm not sure that I'm ready to give up my vanity full of goop that I use religiously. Perhaps if I were younger with skin that wasn't so badly damaged from the sun, this would be a product that I'd like using. At this stage of my life, I find it almost TOO simple (and frankly still needed to add the eye makeup remover and the sunscreen).
For those of you who really like a more natural product. Mereadesso Woman will be right up your alley.
My take? Great for teens through 30-somethings. This old dog LIKES her old tricks and I'm not ready for change.
