GRATIS ~ because the best things in life are FREE. Have you had a "House Party" yet?

My newest "House Party" kit arrived a couple of days ago and I ripped it open like a four year old on Christmas morning. Why would I be so excited about a box full of advertising, using me for their bzz marketing campaign? Probably because it's both an excuse to get my friends together for a little fun, coupled with all of the freebies that I get to share and the opportunity to let company's know that I am happy to share the word about the products that I am loyal to as (and learn about new products). It should be no surprise to anyone that this is a great way to get the word out to the stay at home moms, working women and retirees. It's just plain old fashioned grassroot's marketing brought to a whole new generation.

How does HOUSE PARTY work and how do you get to participate? Here's what House Party says about the process:

Step 1: Sign Up!
Prepare to Party
Browse the parties we have coming up and apply online to host the ones that seem like a perfect fit for you. When you host a House Party you’re a VIP: You get sneak previews of the best TV shows, free stuff, and the best offers out there on the things you really like. And if you don’t see any current House Parties that move you, then tell us what you like and we’ll find you as soon as we have a party that’s tailor-made for you

Step 2: Set Up!
Prepare to Party
Once you’ve found your perfect House Party and you’re set to host it, we’ll help you plan your best party ever. You’ll be one of 1,000 or more special House Party Hosts, all preparing to party on one special day. You’ll get to use House Party’s fun and easy Party Planning Wizard to set up your party, invite your friends, and manage RSVPs. And you’ll join Party Central—the unique online community that we host for each House Party.

Step 3: Build Up!
Check out the Party Crowd
As a House Party host, you’re a VIP member of a House Party Community who gets to browse and interact with all the other hosts and their parties. For the weeks leading up to Party Day you’ll share photos and videos; use our party planning guides to make your party the best ever; and blog with your guests and the other House Partiers. You’ll do this AND take advantage of special offers, exciting contests and fun activities on Party Central, all as you put the finishing touches on YOUR party.

Step 4: Party Up!
Party On
It’s Party Day and 10,000+ House Partiers across the country are gathering to whoop it up. Whether you’re previewing a previously unseen TV show, listening to an unreleased CD of a band you love, or trying out a new kind of food or drink, you and your friends will enjoy a party unlike any you’ve ever experienced.

Step 5: Talk It Up!
Pass it On
Did you love your House Party? Then tell everyone about it! We’ll give you lots of ways and reasons to pass on to your friends and family all that was memorable about your House Party. Share photos and videos from your bash. Show off a little! Enjoy the spotlight! We’re sure you’re going to love hosting your House Party—and we help you share it with the world.

There are two new events in the works: EVENTS

I am hosting one of The Pre-Holiday House Parties sponsored by PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, Tara Leigh Music Party, and AeroBed. My package included coupons for everyone, free CD's, recipe cards, prizes for giveaways and the chance to win $1,000 in the House Party Holiday Giveaway.

If you'd like to spread the bzz and join in - HOUSE PARTY is always accepting new HOSTS.

Well these sound kind of fun! I think I would rather be a guest than a hostess though (at least to start). You find the best stuff to share!

I have also tagged you for a 5 things meme - hope you will play along :-)
