DVDs, Books, and now Clothes

It was bound to happen and I say THANK GOODNESS.

One look in closet #2 at the Mansion and you'll soon understand. Yes, I have two closets. One is for my "current" clothes and the other is for those that are currently out of season or no longer fit. I'm one of those who might fall madly in love with an item, but it only came in a size smaller than I normally wear. So what if I have to lose an extra 10lbs. to wear it. Well, as you might guess, closet #2 is loaded with clothes that STILL HAVE THE TAGS ON. Many of them are designer and some are great classic looks that will never go out of style.

ThredUp has created a sort of Match.com for you and the clothes you'd LOVE to have (or those that you're looking to get rid of). This is a CLOTHING SWAP extraordinaire!
How does it work?

  1. Tell them exactly what you like. They'll go searching through other people's closets to find you items in your size that they think you'd like to have.
  2. Tell them about the clothes that you're no longer wearing. They'll find other thredUP members who are interested in items like these.
  3. They manage the clothing exchange. You send and receive items using the pre-paid envelopes – no trips to the Post Office, ever!
It doesn't get much easier than that! They'll even put a "value" onto what you've got in your closet (mine was over $5900).

It's currently getting ready to open and I believe that they have some INVITATIONS floating around the blogosphere. By following @ThredUp on Twitter you should be able to grab one of these codes!

I'm hoping that they'll give me the thumbs up to reveal one of the codes right here later on (come back later to find out).

OK - I have an "invitation" link (not really a code). Simply Use THIS LINK -

and you should be able to join. Good luck and good clothes!
